Missouri State def. Dordt 4-3
HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt lost a 4-3 decision on the road to the Missouri State Bears on Friday night in Springfield, Missouri.
The Blades got the first two goals as Logan Visser scored in the seventh minute of the first period and Caleb Koomans added a goal in the 12th minute for a 2-0 lead.
The hosts scored the next four goals, getting one with just over six minutes left in the first period and then tied it with a goal in the 12th minute. The Bears took the lead with two quick goals in the third period, getting the second score just 1:20 into the period.
Jacob Petrie got Dordt to within one in the final minute of play but Dordt was unable to get the equalizer.
David Burns was in goal for the Blades and faced 59 shots and made 55 saves.
Adrian Visser, Caleb Koomans and Jacob Petrie each had a goal.
Petrie had two assists, Keaton De Jong, Willhelm Oppedyk and Spencer VanderSchee all had one assist.
