THE RACE

The Dordt College men’s cross country team claimed fourth place in the inaugural Defender Holiday Inn Express Classic on Saturday, September 9 run on the Dordt campus in Sioux Center, Iowa.

The Defenders were three points out of third place and ten out of second.

98 runners competed at the event.

Northwestern took the top four spots on the way to the team title led by Tanner Goetsch with a 26:09 to win the individual title.

The race was an 8,000 meter competition.

COACH WOLF SAID

The guys ran real well. We have four freshmen who will be in our top five our six and it’s just going to take them a little while to learn how to race that distance.  It’s a talented group that I think will be there at the end of the season.
