Dordt had a 28-5 shot advantage and an 11-2 shots on goal edge.

Belle Helgerson secured the win in goal with two saves and recorded her third shutout in goal and lowered her goals allowed average to 0.83.

Mouw’s goal was her team leading eighth of the season.

Dordt is 7-4 this season and 2-1 in GPAC play.  Dordt is off until Saturday, October 7 when the Defenders face Doane in Crete.

Dakota Wesleyan slips to 0-3 in the league and 5-5 overall.

"The 1-0 win over Dakota Wesleyan gives this team confidence in the conference. While the back of the goal was difficult to find, the number of opportunities and the consistent pressure by the team allow them to realize how important everything they do on the field is."
