Lawrence Tech Invite
The Dordt Women’s golf team participated in day one the Lawrence Tech Spring Break Challenge held at Grand National Golf Course in Opelika, Alabama.
The Defenders top performance came from freshmen Alyssa Fedders who finished in 26th place on day one with a round of 88. Classmate Erin Olsen was not far behind, ending the afternoon tied for 27th while shooting a 91. Autumn Vos shot a 102, and Anna Vander Griend finished with a 113 to round out the scoring.
"The women played well to break 400 today with 4 players and on an extremely difficult golf course. Alyssa Fedders' 88 was a great round and included 2 birdies. Erin Olsen's 91 could have been much lower and her putter saved her many times today," said head coach Mark Christians
Dordt will return to Grand National Golf Course on Friday afternoon to finish day two of the meet.
