Dordt defeats Winnipeg 10-4
HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt College scored in six of seven innings and forged a 10-4 win over Winnipeg on Tuesday afternoon in Tucson, Arizona. The Defenders never trailed with Colton Van Otterloo providing a two-run homerun in the first inning to get Dordt going.
The Defenders followed with one run in the second, two in the fourth and one in the fifth and sixth. Dordt put the game away with three runs in the top of the seventh inning.
-Dordt outhit Winnipeg 14-8.
-Trent Roose got the win by going five innings and he allowed the four runs on eight hits.
-Chris Schrieber pitched no-hit ball over the final two innings for Dordt.
-Cameron Gingerich had three hits and a run batted in and Colton Van Otterloo had a single and a homerun.
-Jacob Monsma had a pair of doubles and Andrew Randall knocked in three runs with a double and a triple.
