Dordt defeats Jamestown 10-3
HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt scored at least one run in five different innings on the way to a 10-3 win on Monday in Tucson, Arizona against Jamestown.
Cam Gingerich had a run scoring double to start the scoring in the top of the first and Gingerich later scored on a fielder’s choice.
Gingerich scored again in the third inning with Colton Van Otterloo singling him in for a 3-0 lead.
Dordt scored three each in the fourth and fifth innings and another in the sixth inning to propel themselves to a 10-3 win.
-Brandon Fokkema got the complete game win with three runs allowed on five hits and struck out one with three bases on balls.
-Gingerich had three hits and scored two runs with five runs batted in on a double and two singles.
-Colton Van Otterloo had a pair of singles and Trent Roose scored three runs.
-Glen Thompson had two runs scored and Jake Thayer had Dordt’s other extra base hit, a double.
