THE RACE

Dordt’s men placed sixth at the Les Duke Invite in Grinnell, Iowa hosted by Grinnell College.  Dordt had 179 points while Wartburg won the team title with 53 points.

NOTES

-The race was on an 8,000 meter course.

-Wal Khat from North Iowa Area Community College won the race with a 26:55 time.

-Dordt as solidly entrenched in sixth place with 179 points—36 points out of fifth and 32 points in front of Waldorf.

 

COACH NATE WOLF SAID

The men also had a strong outing despite being short-handed.  Sam Wensink and Adam Daane led the men’s team with solid days.  Freshman Luke Gilliland stepped into the number five spot for the men in the absence of three senior men we held out for injury precaution.  Like the women we gained valuable experience and depth that will benefit us as the season progresses."
