- This is the first time this fall the Defenders have had another member other than Fedders and Olsen in their top two positions after day one of a meet. Stoffels golfed in the opening meet of the year but finished third behind the two Freshmen. A senior, Stoffels is the top returning golfer from the 2015-2016 women's golf team.
- With the line-up of Olsen, Fedders, Stoffels, and Vos, Dordt has one of the strongest line-ups in women's golf history. The four golfers combined earlier in the season for one of Dordt's all time lowest team scores the program has ever had with a total of 353 at the Mount Marty College Invitational.
- Hastings College did not participate in day one of the event. Their round of 0 was not counted toward the team standings. There are 77 golfers participating in the two day event.
Dordt returns to the course tomorrow morning to finish out day two of the MU/CSM Invitational. Tee time has not been announced but round two will be played at Miracle Hills in Omaha, Nebraska.
