Jamestown defeats Dordt 80-45
HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt fell behind the 12th ranked team in the country 27-12 at the quarter break and never recovered in falling 80-45 to Jamestown on Saturday afternoon in Sioux Center.
The Defenders gradually fell behind 47-20 at halftime and the margin grew past 30 as the visitors converted 49 percent of its shots from the field.
-Dordt was 16-61 from the field for 26.2 percent success and the Defenders were 3-17 on three-point attempts.
-The Jimmies were 30-61 from the field and 8-14 from the arch for 49 and 57 percent success respectively.
-Dordt was outrebounded 40-38 and had 20 turnovers to 15 for the hosts.
-Annie Rhinesmith led Dordt with nine points and Kim Kroeze added six.
-Rio Landers and Shae Pollema had eight rebounds each.
-Jamestown was led by Allison Joblonsky with 19 points and Paige Emmel had ten points.
-Dordt is 2-1 and will travel to Waldorf on Tuesday night. Jamestown is 2-2.
