Concordia defeats Dordt 99-71
HOW IT HAPPENED
Concordia pulled away in the last ten minutes of the first half and defeated Dordt College 99-71.
Dordt built a 17-12 lead on a basket by Taylor Feenstra with 13:35 left in the first half but the Bulldogs tied it 19-19 and took a 21-19 lead with 11:13 left in the half. Another Feenstra basket tied the game at 21 and the difference was still 29-27 with 8:31 left after an Alec Henrickson basket. Concordia proceeded to outscore the Defenders 27-2 the rest of the half and the score was 56-29 at halftime.
Concordia controlled the second half and both team substituted liberally before the game concluded.
-Dordt was led by Taylor Feenstra with 19 points and Sean Broker had 12 in the second half.
-Ross Cooper led Dordt with five rebounds. Concordia had a 36-28 rebounding advantage.
-Dordt was 30-65 from the field and 5-19 from the three-point line.
-Concordia was 37-64 overall from the field and 12-25 from the three-point arc.
-Dordt is 14-16 overall and 5-13 in the GPAC.
-Concordia is 21-9 overall and 10-8 in the GPAC.
-Dordt will face Briar Cliff on Wednesday, February 22 in the first round of the GPAC.
