Dordt defeats Oak Hills Christian 91-39
HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt had no problem defeated Oak Hills Christian on Saturday in Orange City 91-39. The Defenders built a 26-6 first half lead before taking a 44-19 halftime lead. The second half was more of the same as the lead quickly ballooned to 30.
Using reserves liberally, the Defenders extended the lead and won the final game before opening conference play on Wednesday.
-Dordt was 34-68 shooting for 50 percent success and 17-25 from the free throw line.
-Oak Hills Christian was 13-64 shooting and 3-24 from the three-point line for 20.3 and 12.5 percent respectively.
-Dordt had a 58-35 rebounding advantage.
-Leighton Sampson was 8-11 from the floor for 16 points and Andrew o’Donnell had 13 points with four rebounds.
-Chad Barkema scored 11 and all 15 players who saw action scored for the Defenders.
-Moe Blackmon led Oak Hills Christian with 12 points.
-Dordt is 5-2 and will face Dakota Wesleyan in the GPAC opener for both teams on Wednesday night.
