Graceland defeats Dordt 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-23)
HOW IT HAPPENED
Graceland controlled its match with Dordt College in men’s volleyball on Saturday, March 19 and dropped the Defenders in Lamoni, Iowa.
The Yellow Jackets won set one 25-17 and then won set two 25-19. The hosts were able to hold off a determined Dordt team in set three and earned the sweep 25-23.
Graceland had a .316 kill efficiency with 53 kills on 114 attacks and the hosts had 17 errors.
-Dordt had 26 kills on 88 attacks and was charged with nine errors.
-Mark Tiemersma had seven kills to lead Dordt and Ben Tiemersma had six.
-Eric Geels accounted for four kills and Kyle Vander Zee had four kills. Geels put up eight assists and had 13 digs.
-Nathan Struyk got to 11 digs and Vander Zee had ten.
-Austin Lindemulder led the Defenders with 12 assists.
-Dordt fought to within two points in the third set while only getting five kills.
