Hastings defeats Dordt 4-0.



Dordt surrendered four first half goals in falling to the Hastings College Broncos on Saturday, September 24 in Hastings, Nebraska.

The Defenders allowed a goal to Megan Kruse in the first minute and Taylor Geis scored the first of two goals in the 25th minute.  She later scored an unassisted goal in in the 35th minute.  Heidi Bartsch had a goal to separate the Geis goals with one that found the net in the 30th minute.



Dordt was outshot 17-3 and 11-2 on goal.

Dee Felts had seven saves in the loss with four in the first half and three in the second half. 

Dordt’s shots on goal came fron Kenzie Bousema and Raquelle Mouw—one in each half.

Dordt is 4-4-1 overall and 0-1 in the GPAC.  Hastings improves to 7-1-1 and 1-0 in league play.

Dordt will host Mount Marty on Tuesday, September 28 at 1:00.



"Nerves or lack of mental preparation were evident as we were scored on 9 seconds into the match. From there we regrouped and although we permitted three more goals, we settled down and played much better. Hastings is a smart team with highly talented players who know how to play as a team and we learned many things from them tonight.
