Dordt defeats Dakota Wesleyan 5-1
HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt College scored five second half goals on the way to a 5-1 win over the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers on Wednesday night in Mitchell, South Dakota.
Dordt allowed a goal in the 25th minute by Peter Wartenberg and that goal stood to halftime.
Jason Seeley scored the equalizer in the 54th minute and Colton Schreur followed in the 59th minute with the eventual game winner.
Alex Durbin continued the Dordt onslaught with a goal in the 59th and Mika de Vin and Stephen Brinkerhoff scored in the 65th and 84th minutes. Schreur was credited with an assist on the Brinkerhoff goal and Braden Homan got an assist on Schreur’s goal.
-Dordt had an 8-2 shots on goal advantage.
-Logan Ganz got the win while making one save.
-Alex Durbin now has a team high 21 goals.
-de Vin’s goal was his first of the season.
-Dordt is 3-5 in the GPAC and 7-10 overall while Dakota Wesleyan is 1-7 and 2-13.
-Dordt will host Doane on Saturday in the regular season finale.
