Northwestern def. Dordt 2-0
HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt surrendered two goals in the first 20 minutes of its game with Northwestern and lost a 2-0 decision to the Red Raiders on Wednesday afternoon, October 12.
Northwestern scored on a pair of goals in the 10th and 16th minutes of the first half by Tyler Limmer and then stifled the Dordt attack the rest of the contest in taking the shutout.
Dordt had a chance to get within a goal when David Lee knocked one towards the goal with 18 minutes remaining but Northwestern’s defense covered for the keeper and cleared the shot and preserved the shutout.
Dordt was outshot 8-5 on goal.
Travis Viet made six saves in goal for the Defenders.
This is the second time this season Dordt has been shut out.
Dordt is 1-3 in the GPAC and 5-8 overall while Northwestern is 3-2 and 6-8. Dordt will host Concordia on Saturday, October 15 in its next outing.
