Dordt defeats Ripon 4-0
HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt earned its season win in a row with a 4-0 defeat of Ripon (Wisconsin) in a game played at Waupun, Wisconsin. The contest as hosted by Central Wisconsin Christian and was a part of the high school’s 30th anniversary of soccer celebration.
Dordt got on the board with Alex Durbin scoring on a Cody Van Holland cross in the 25th minute. Durbin then added his 18th goal of the season for a 2-0 lead in the 40th minute this time on an assist by Billy Dedich.
Cody Zonnefeld and Nathan Van Peursem added goals in the 49th and 82nd minutes off assists by Braden Homan.
-Dordt had an 11-1 shots on goal edge and a 17-7 overall shots edge.
-Logan Ganz secured the shutout in goal with a save.
-Durbin has 18 goals this season while Zonnefeld’s was his second and Van Peursem’s goal was his first of the season.
-Dordt is 5-7 this season and resumes GPAC play on Wednesday when the Defenders host Northwestern.
-Ripon is now 3-8.
