Concordia defeats Dordt 35-28
HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt College was unable to hang on to a four point halftime lead and fell to the Concordia Bulldogs in GPAC football on Saturday, November 5 in Sioux Center.
Dordt started the scoring with a time consuming drive that took 16 plays to complete as Jason Miller took a reverse two yards for a score to cap the 75 yard march with 7:16 left in the first quarter.
Concordia responded with an 11 play, 68 yard drive that ended with a Bryce Collins touchdown run and Concordia led 7-6.

The 31 seconds proved to be just enough for the Defenders as Gerrit Wybenga had a 26 yard return to the 32 yard line. A Bryce Lidtka ten yard run followed by a Lamle to Jason Miller 18 yard completion got Dordt within striking distance. A pass over the middle was incomplete but Lamle followed with a rollout with three seconds left and Miller got behind the defense for a 40 yard touchdown as time expired. Dordt failed on the two point conversion making the score 18-14 at the intermission.
Concordia scored on its first possession with Collins scoring ona fourth down and two from the 11.
Jeff Paepke tied the game at 21-21 with a 38 yard field goal but the Bulldogs scored on back to back possessions, putting Dordt down 35-21.
