Briar Cliff Invite
The Dordt men's golf team competed in day one of the Briar Cliff invitational on Monday afternoon at Dakota Dunes Country Club in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota. Steady rain throughout the afternoon made for less than ideal course conditions, The Defenders find themselves in eighth place after day one of the meet, shooting a round of 335 as a team. The Red Raiders of Northwestern hold the lead after day one with a team total of 296.

- Freshmen Kyle Colyn led Dordt, posting a round of 79 on the day, tying his low score for the year. Fellow classmate Will Mulder was close behind with an 80, putting him at +8. Both competed as individuals for the meet.
- Northwestern's Justin Kraft and Ryan Christy are tied for first after the first day of competition, each shooting rounds of 73.
- Tony Kallevig was the top finisher for the Dordt team score, posting an 81, which was good enough to tie for 22nd. Micah Roos finished with a round of 82.
-Dakota Dunes is a par 72 course, There are 78 golfers in the field of competitors.
Day two of the competition will be held at Two Rivers Golf Club in Sioux City. Two Rivers will also play host to the fourth GPAC event of the year on May 9th. Scores tomorrow will help determine the five golfers who will compete for the Defenders in the final GPAC meet of the year.
