Recap

The Dordt Defenders Track team sent a limited number of entries to the Drake Relays this week. Miranda Velgersdyk, Joscelyn Wind, Elizabeth Rankin, and Marisa Broersma highlighted the Defender finishes placing 8th overall, with a school-record time of 1:43.13. The same four finished the Women's 4x100M Relay team posting a season-best time of 49.13. They finished 24th out of 36 teams. The Women's distance medley finished in 6th of 14 with a time of 12:03.16, while being the top GPAC finisher in the race. Doane finished 7th and Northwestern finished 13th. The 4x400M relay team clocked in at 3:55.92, which is a 'B' qualifying standard for the NAIA National Track Meet.

"The relays today ran very well considering the conditions.  The 4 x 200 was a school record and the distance medley relay was a few seconds off the school record.  The 4x400 hit the B standard.  Overall we performed very well and the team looks well positioned for the conference championship meet."
