The Dordt College Defender volleyball took a 18-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-21 win over the Montana Northern Skylights on Friday, August 29 as part of the Bellevue Bruin Labor Day Classic.
The Defenders used balance at the net to bounce back from the seven point loss in set one to sweep the final three sets handily. The Defenders never trailed in set two; trailed briefly in set three and overcame an 18-16 deficit in set four to win the match.
Jenna Horstman had 12 kills while Heather Showers, Brooke Wolterstorff and Haley Moss all had nine kills. Elizabeth Kiel added six kills and Kayla Bartman put up 40 assists while recording two ace serves. Meghan Krausman and Summer Jansen both had nine digs.
Dordt limited the Frontier Conference member to a .077 kill efficiency and had six ace serves.
