NAIA National Preview
<p>The Dordt College men’s cross country team took ninth place in the 31 team field at the NAIA National Preview Meet run on Saturday, October 11 at Rim Rock Farm near Lawrence, Kansas.
Nick Vander Kooi ran a 26:50 to pace the Defenders and placed 37th overall. Nathan Jackson wasn’t far behind with a time of 26:56 and was 45th. Stephan McNamara had a 27:04 and was 55th and Dordt’s scoring was completed by Sam Wensink and Hunter Weinert with times of 27:08 and 27:32. Wensink’s time was good for 60th and Weinert 77th in the 300 man field. Dordt’s sixth and seventh runners, Ryan McNamara and Adam Daane, were 91st and 98th and as they ran 27:47 and 27:52 on the 8,000 meter course.
Dordt had 268 points while Olivet Nazarene had 84 points for first place, clipping Aquinas with 85 points and Indiana Wesleyan had 93 for third place.
