Dakota Wesleyan Invite
<p>The Dordt College men’s cross country swept the top four spots and five of the top six at the Dakota Wesleyan Invite on Saturday, September 20 at Wild Oak in Mitchell, South Dakota on the way to a team title total of 16 points.
The Defenders were led by Stephan McNamara’s time of 26:48 on the 8,000 meter course and the individual title. Steve Kelly ran second in 27:13 and Sam Wensink was right behind in 27:16. Ryan McNamara concluded the top-four placings with a time of 27:22 and Nick Vander Kooi was sixth overall with a time of 27:38.
Cristian Van Dyke and Adam Daane finished in the top-ten and were the pushers for Dordt with Van Dyke clocking a 27:43 for eighth place and Daane ran tenth in 27:50.
Dordt’s total of 16 points earned the team title while Mount Marty ran second with 69. 57 runners comprised the field.
Dordt will run at the Roy Griak Invite on Saturday, September 27 in St. Paul, Minnesota in the next outing for the Defenders. </p>
