Roy Griak Invite
<p>.The Dordt College men’s cross country finished 17th out of 33 teams at the Roy Griak Invite in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Defenders ran in the Maroon II race hosted by the University of Minnesota.
Dordt had a total of 431 points and was paced by Nathan Jackson as the senior ran a 27:34 on the 8,000 meter course and placed 48th. Stephan McNamara and Sam Wensink recorded times of 27:47 and 28:14 for 62nd and 94th respectively and Ryan McNamara came across in 28:30 for 110th. Nick Vander Kooi was Dordt’s fifth runner with a time of 28:33 and finished 117th. Hunter Weinert and Adam Daane ran 28:39 and 29:13 to conclude Dordt’s seven runners.
409 runners competed in the race with Regina’s Matt Johnson winning in a time of 25:32. Wisconsin Parkside won the race with 98 points, narrowly holding off Augustana (South Dakota) with 99 points.
Dordt will next run at the NAIA Preview Meet on October 11 in Lawrence, Kansas.</p>
