The Dordt Defenders junior varsity women dropped a 81-67 decision Thursday night to the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers.
The Tigers scored 51 points in the second half and pulled away from the Defenders after only leading by two at halftime.
Four Dakota Wesleyan players finished the game in double figures. Kelsey Little paced the Tigers with 21 points and 18 rebounds, and Savannah Minder added 19 points.
Paige Engbers was the lone Defender in double figures with 26 points. She poured in seven 3-pointers as she extended her streak of games with double-digit points to 10 games.
Dordt turned the ball over 21 times and shot just 35 percent from the field, including 27 percent from 3-point range.
The Defenders fell to 1-9 (0-7) on the season. They get Christmas Break off and take on Briar Cliff on Jan. 16.
