The Dordt Defenders junior varsity women dropped a 81-67 decision Thursday night to the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers.<p>

The Tigers scored 51 points in the second half and pulled away from the Defenders after only leading by two at halftime.<p>

Four Dakota Wesleyan players finished the game in double figures. Kelsey Little paced the Tigers with 21 points and 18 rebounds, and Savannah Minder added 19 points.<p>

Paige Engbers was the lone Defender in double figures with 26 points. She poured in seven 3-pointers as she extended her streak of games with double-digit points to 10 games.<p>

Dordt turned the ball over 21 times and shot just 35 percent from the field, including 27 percent from 3-point range.<p>

The Defenders fell to 1-9 (0-7) on the season. They get Christmas Break off and take on Briar Cliff on Jan. 16.<p>
