NAIA National Preview
<p>The Dordt College men’s cross country team had a strong finish in the team race at the NAIA National Preview Meet run at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence, Kansas. The 30 team, 272 runner field ran on the same course that will be host to the NAIA National Championships in late November.
</p><p>Dordt finished eighth as a team with 276 points and was topped by just one GPAC team, Concordia, in the final standings.
</p><p>Dordt’s Nathan Jackson ran a 26:06 for 31st place overall and Nick Vanderkooi paced out a 26:19 on the 8,000 meter course for 45th place. Tim Bierma and Chris Postma, a pair of Dordt seniors, finished 56th and 72nd respectively in 26:34 and 26:50. Derek Opp closed the scoring for Dordt with a 27:01 that was 80th overall. Trent Kischer and Hunter Weinert completed the top-seven for Dordt with 27:15 and 27:21 respectively and were 100th and 110th respectively.
</p><p>Oklahoma Baptist’s Adam Godwin ran 24:34 to win the race by nine seconds. Aquinas (Michigan) won the team title with 85 points and Lewis Clark was second with 100 points.
</p><p>Dordt concludes the regular season on October 26 when they run at the Mount Marty Invite in Yankton, South Dakota. The GPAC Championship Race is scheduled for Saturday, November 9.</p>
