The Dordt College Defender volleyball team earned a sweep win over the Doane Tigers in GPAC play on Saturday, November 2 in Crete, Nebraska. The Defenders won by set scores of 25-20, 25-21 and 25-20 to improve to 12-3 in the GPAC and 21-5 overall. <p>Dordt was in control most of the match and hit for .226 kill efficiency with 40 team kills and they had 62 digs. Doane was limited to 36 kills and hit for a .137 efficiency while getting to 49 digs. Dordt had four service aces while Doane had six. Both teams had six blocks.<p>Meghan Krausman had 10 kills to pace the Defenders and Lindsey Floen added eight. Kayla Gesink dumped in seven kills and had 28 assists and Jenna Horstman had seven kills as well. Kayla Broekhuis had a team high 25 digs and Gesink added seven and Wolterstorff got to seven.<p>Dordt concludes the regular season on Wednesday, November 6 against Northwestern in Orange City. Doane is 15-16 overall and 6-9 in the GPAC. The first round of the GPAC Tournament is Saturday, November 9. Dordt can still finish as high as second and as low as fourth in the seeding for the tournament with one match remaining.
