The Dordt College men's soccer season came to an end with a 6-0 loss to Hastings in Great Plains Athletic Conference Quarterfinal round play on Wednesday night in Hastings, Nebraska. Dordt trailed 2-0 at hlaftime before Hastings broke through with four more goals in the second half.

Leon Brudy scored in the 19th minute and Jake Ramsey added a goal in the 21st minute to make it 2-0 at halftime. Thomas Boss had assists on the first two goals. Ramsay scored again in the 59th minute for a 3-0 advantage and goals followed quickly by David Torres and Jake Essi in the 62nd and 67th minute. Felix Proessl finished the scoring with a goal in the 74th minute.

Dordt was outshot on goal 12-4 and overall 25-6. Jon Brinkerhoff made six saves in goal while facing the 12 shots on frame. Alex Guyer got the shutout with four saves.

Dordt finishes the season with a 5-13-1 record while Hastings, the top seed in the post season tournament, will advance to the semifinals on Saturday.
