The Dordt College Defender women lost a 3-1 decision at Dakota Wesleyan on Tuesday night in Great Plains Athletic Conference play.<p>
The hosts scored in the 27th minute when Autumn Vigil got one past Katie Kortman in goal. The teams were scoreless the rest of the half. Trailing 1-0 the Defenders evened the score on a Nicole Postman unassisted goal in the 47th minute.<p>
Four minutes later Maranda Ehrenfried scored on a corner kick and the hosts got a goal for insurance in the 56th minute on an unassisted score by Linsey Peterson to make the final 3-1.<p>Dordt was outhsot 9-3 with Katie Kortman making six saves in goal. Wesleyan had seven shots in each half and Dordt had seven total shots in the contest with three in the first half and four in the second.<p>Dordt is 0-10 overall and 0-2 in the GPC while Dakota Wesleyan improves to 4-5-1 and 1-1 in the league. Dordt will travel to Seward, Nebraska on Saturday in its next action.
