<p>Katie Bonnema’s performance on day two of the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships highlighted the Dordt College performances in Geneva, Ohio.
</p><p>
Bonnema blazed her way to a time of 1:32.30 in the semifinals of the 600 meters and qualified for the finals in the event with the fastest time in the prelim heats. Bonnema’s time was nearly two seconds faster than her qualifying time. The finals of the event will be run on Saturday at 12:05.
</p><p>
Briana Vander Woude competed in two events one day after winning the national championship in the pentathlon. Vander Woude ran :08.89 in the prelims of the 60 meter hurdles to qualify for semifinals and had the 8th fastest time in prelims. She then an :08.94 in the semis and finished 11th which didn’t qualify for the finals. Vander Woude also competed in the long jump and finished 16th with a leap of 16-10.5.

Erin Francis had a time of :08.37 in the 60 meter hurdles and placed 19th in the prelims. Francis did not qualify for the semifinals.
</p><p>
Jake Floen, a freshman, finished 9th in the 200 meter semifinals with a time of :22.16 and missed making the finals in the event by two-tenths of a second.
</p><p>
Merissa Harkema was scheduled to run in the mile prelims but the limited number of participants resulted in the prelim heat being cancelled with the finals to be run on Saturday at 11:25.
</p><p>
Ryan Tholen was also scheduled to run in the 800 meters but was unable to run because of an injury sustained on Friday night in the 4 x 400 relay.
