The Dordt College Defender volleyball moved to 11-2 in the GPAC with a straight sets win over the Concordia Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon in Sioux Center. The win point the exclamation point on Senior Day 2012 for the volleyball program and secured at least a top-four finish in the GPAC final standings with three matches left to go in the final week of play.<p>Dordt trailed on two occasions in the match, both times early in set one when the were behind 1-0 and 4-3. Dordt led 12-10 in set one before going on a 5-1 run for a 17-11 advantage. Dordt scored the next six points for a 23-12 advantage and went on to win 25-13.<p>Set two had the Defenders up 7-5 when Celaine Haan entered the service rotation and when the freshman left the spot they were up 14-5 and they rolled to a 25-16 win.<p>Set three was all Dordt as they finished with a 25-14 win.<p>"What a great night of Defender volleyball action," said Dordt coach Chad Hanson. "We had great execution in all areas of the game and it was fun to showcase our senior leaders with Danae, Loy and Jana on senior night. There is plenty of work ahead of us as a travel to face a hungry and talented Morningside team on Tuesday."<p>Dordt had balanced attacking with a .284 kill efficiency. Katelyn Schuller had seven kills with a .400 efficiency and Meghan Krausman had six kills against one error in just ten swings for a .500 efficiency. Lindsey Floen and Loy Sahr both had six kills and were in on three blocks a piece. Kayla Gesink put up 26 assists and Kayla Broekhuis had 18 digs.<p>Concordia was topped by Mariah Schamp with seven kills and Jami Nekoliczak had 13 assists.<p>Dordt is 11-2 in the GPAC and 22-8 overall while Concordia is now 4-10 and 10-18 entering the final week of play. Dordt is scheduled to travel to Morningside on Tuesday, October 30 in its next action. <p>GPAC Standings <Br> Hastings
