Dordt College swept Buena Vista on Friday night in Sioux Center, Iowa in non-conference volleyball. Dordt came from behind in set one to win 25-23 and then controlled set two and three 25-18 and 25-18 for the Defenders' 20th win of the season.<p>Set one had the Defenders trailing 13-8 after a five point run by the Beavers. Dordt bounced back to cut the lead to 13-12, getting the last two points of the run on a pair of Danae Geels kills. Dordt eventually tied it at 17-17 and looked poised for the win up 22-20. The visitors responded with a three point run to retake the lead at 23-22 but the Defenders got a point on a service error and then got an ace by Jocelyn Bousema for the lead and the Defenders won it with a Meghan Krausman kill for the final of 25-23.<p>Dordt ran out to an 8-1 lead and never trailed in winning 25-18 and set three was very similar in that Dordt led 9-1 and won 25-18 with Kiley Velgersdyk getting the finishing kill.<p>Dordt was led by Danae Geels with 13 kills and Krausman had eight with Lindsey Floen knocking down seven. Kayla Gesink put up 31 assists on a night when Dordt hit .235 for the match. Gesink shared team honors in digs with Kayla Broekhuis with eight.<p>Mount Marty got nine kills from Kirsten Van Zuiden and Chelsea Clayton added seven. Courtney Van Haaften put up 20 assists in the loss.<p>Dordt is 20-7 overall and will face #6 ranked Hastings on Saturday afternoon in Hastings. The junior varsity match starts at 3:00 and the varsity at 4:30. Buena Vista falls to 4-20.
