The Dordt College Defender women's cross country team sent two runners to the NAIA National Championship Meet on Saturday, November 19 in Vancouver, Washington. Michelle Steiger, a senior from Lynden, Washington, finished 71st in her third appearance at the event while Renee Buikema, a freshman from Brookfield, Wisconsin, placed 177th in the 323 field with a time of 19:53. The two runners qualified by virtue of their finish at the GPAC Championship Meet two weeks ago.

Obsie Birru won the event competing for Grand View with a time of 17:15. California State San Marcos claimed the team title on the 5,000 meter course with 82 points.
