Dakota Wesleyan forged a split with Dordt College in game two of their doubleheader in Mitchell, South Dakota, taking a 3-1 winner over the visitors. <p>Wesleyan scored one run each in the first, second and third innings for a 3-0 lead, getting two unearned runs across for their first scores to take control.<p>Dordt got one in the fifth with Sidney Larsen reaching on an error and she eventually scored when Bethany Dykstra's grounder was misplayed for an error, allowing Larsen to score.<p>Dordt stranded a total of eight runners while outhitting Dakota Wesleyan 7-5 despite losing the game.<p>Sidney Larsen took the loss while going the complete game, allowing one earned run and had two strikeouts and two walks.<p>Ashton Beaird and Paige Fynaardt each had two hits with Fynaardt and Haley Huisman each batting doubles.<p>Dordt is now 10-8 in the league and 20-20 overall. Wesleyan is 17-24 overall and 10-6 in the conference. Dordt is scheduled to face Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday, April 28 in the regular season finale for the Defenders.
