The Midland Warriors took a 4-0 final in game two of their doubleheader at Dordt College on Saturday, April 21. The Defenders were limited to one hit in the loss.<p>Midland got a run in the first inning on three hits and an error and left the bases loaded when the inning came to a close. Dordt starter Jake Slings settled down after the first inning and held the Warriors scoreless in the next four frames. Midland than plated two runs on one hits and two errors in the sixth inning for some breathing room and got one more run off of reliever Ryan De Wit in the seventh inning for a 4-0 lead.
<p>Dordt's Nick Serrato broke up the no-hit bid by Midland's Dillon Stockton in the bottom of the seventh when he singled to lead the inning off. Dordt got Serrato as far as second before the game ended.<p>Slings took the loss and allowed three runs--one of them earned with two walks and two strikeouts and he allowed five hits. <p>Dordt is now 4-12 in the GPAC and 13-25 overall. Midland is 6-10 and 11-31 overall. Dordt will face Dakota State in a non-conference game in Madison, South Dakota on Tuesday, April 24.
