A 17 hit attack propelled the Dordt College Defender baseball team to a 14-3 win on the road over the Briar Cliff Chargers in GPAC play on Friday afternoon.<p>Dordt got on the board with a three run first inning as Eric Anderson singled with the bases loaded for one run and Aaron Parks delivered a two run double for a 3-0 lead. Briar Cliff got one of the runs back in the second but Dordt followed up with a two run third inning as Alex Bluhm and Jason Wapnick each produced run scoring singles. <p>Dordt built a comfortable lead for Dordt starter Ben Van Kekerix with six in the fifth inning as Travis Dekkers struck for a grand slam and two more in the sixth on four hits extended the lead to 13-1. <p>The Chargers got two runs in the sixth and Dordt capped the scoring with one run in the seventh for a 14-3 win.<p>Dordt outhit the hosts 17-11. Nate Fraley and Alex Bluhm each had three hits with Bluhm scoring three and Fraley had two runs scored and two runs batted in. Nick Serrato, Travis Dekkers, Dustin Brisel and Eric Anderson all had two hits and Dekkers knocked in four and Parks had two.<p>Ben Van Kekerix scattered ten hits in getting his second win of the season and struck out three with no walks. Josh Van Kekerix came on in relief and pitched a scoreless seventh and allowed one hit.<p>Nathan Olson pitched the first four innings and took the loss for Briar Cliff.
