Dordt named a “Best in the Midwest” college by Princeton Review

August 6, 2014

The Princeton Review has again named Dordt College to its 2015 “Best in the Midwest” colleges list. Dordt is one of just 158 institutions named to the list, and one of 646 colleges nationwide honored by the Princeton Review.

Factored into the rankings are comments from Dordt students. Princeton Review asks students to fill out an 80-question survey about the school’s academics and administration, life at college, fellow students, and themselves.

“The professors have an opportunity to get to know the students,” explained a Dordt College biology major. “It’s impossible to fall through the cracks.”

One student called the spiritual life on campus “vibrant.” Another student said Dordt “goes above and beyond what most colleges do when it comes to finding you an internship or a job after graduation.” That assertion is demonstrated by Dordt’s 98 percent placement rate, percentage measure of students who find jobs or go on to graduate school within six months of graduation.
