Heynen Signs With Dordt Soccer

Adam Heyen, a senior at Western Christian High School, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender men's soccer program.

Heynen is a 6'1", 185 pound multi-sport athlete for the Wolfpack, competing for Western Christian in football, basketball and soccer.  In soccer, Heynen has primarily served as a midfielder for Western Christian and has already played three years at the varsity level with three goals and four assists.   Heynen exhibited his versatility as an athlete by also playing 215 minutes as a goalkeeper for the Wolfpack, turning away 30 shots.  Heynen was named to the all-conference team following his junior campaign.

Adam is the son of Arlo and Connie Heynen of Sheldon, Iowa and he plans to major in Biology at Dordt College.

Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. Dordt’s athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

U.S. News & World Report,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,400 students.
