Johnson Commits to Defender Men's Soccer

Chris Johnson, a 6’1”, 195 pound sophomore at Colorado Christian University, has announced his intention to transfer to Dordt College and join the Defender men’s soccer program.  Johnson appeared in 29 games at CCU and started four matches.  Prior to attending Colorado Christian, Johnson spent his junior and senior year of high school playing for the Faith Christian Academy Eagles in Colorado and competed for the Grapevine Faith Lions in Texas his freshman and sophomore year.

Johnson, who has primarily played left back and midfield, helped Faith Christian to the Colorado state quarterfinals his junior year and the Eagles were Metro Conference Champions and state semifinalists his senior year.  Johnson was a member of the Grapevine Faith team that secured a conference title and a Texas 4A State Championship his freshman season.  Johnson has been an all-conference and all-state honorable mention.

Chris is the son of Scott and Sherrie Johnson of Arvada, Colorado and he plans to major in Business.
