Van Dyke Named Coach Of The Year

(Wednesday, November 7; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Dordt College cross country coach Greg Van Dyke was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year following the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championship Meet on Saturday, November 3.

Van Dyke was also named the men’s conference coach of the year last year and has been the head coach of both the men’s and women’s teams at Dordt College since 2006 after serving as an assistant in 2005.

Van Dyke coached an NAIA all-American in 2007, 2008 and 2010. He also serves as an assistant coach in track and field and graduated from Dordt College in 2002.  He ran both cross country and track while a student and is a Dordt College admissions counselor.

The 2012 Dordt women’s cross country team claimed the GPAC title and earned a berth at the NAIA National Championship Meet to be held on November 17 in Vancouver, Washington.
