Kuyper Apartments

The Kuyper Apartments are located on the southeast side of campus overlooking the natural prairie. This building, constructed in 2010, was designed to include many "green" features including a geothermal heating and cooling system, energy-efficient lighting, locally sourced materials, and high-efficiency windows.

Environmentally responsible materials were used, including bamboo "plyboo" plywood, durable Corian countertops, and concrete floors, which are better for allergy sufferers and keep the college from dumping carpets in landfills. The apartments are designed with an open floor plan kitchen and lounging area, convenient bathroom facilities, and three bedrooms for six people.
