Before Dordt…set for Unity Christian (Iowa) and helped them to a no. 5 state ranking and a War Eagle Championship in 2012…averaged 8.46 assists and 1.8 digs per set as a senior and 7.29 assists and 1.93 digs as a junior…earned all-conference first team and all-district second team honors in 2011 and 2012.

Before Dordt…played for Coral Springs Christian Academy (Florida)…was a first team all-county pick as a senior after claiming second team honors in 2013…averaged 15.5 kills, 7.1 digs, 2.2 blocks and 1.3 ace serves while claiming Region IV Player of the Year honors in 2014…served as her team captain for two seasons.

Before Dordt…earned 2014 first team all-state honors while playing for Western Christian and helping the Wolfpack to a Class 2A state runner-up finish…averaged 3.34 kills per set with a .415 kill efficiency… had 46 ace serves and averaged 1.7 digs per set…totaled 298 kills as a junior with a .419 kill efficiency and earned second team all-state honors…was a first team all-conference and all-district pick as a junior…had 215 kills as a sophomore.

2015…played in 117 sets and 32 matches…put up 10.7 assists per set with 29 service aces…averaged 2.41 digs per set…was an all-GPAC and all-AVCA first-team honoree…had a season high 63 assists against Rocky Mountain on September 5.

Before Dordt…earned first team all-state honors for the fourth straight year in 2014 and helped Western to its fourth straight state runner-up finish…averaged 9.5 assists per set in 2014 and 10.1 in 2013…had 62 ace serves in 2014 and 60 in 2013…earned all-tournament accolades four straight years at the Iowa High School State Tournament….Western was 181-13 in the four seasons Gesink set.

Before Dordt…Sioux Falls Christian High School (South Dakota)…capped her senior season by being named 2015 Miss South Dakota Volleyball after leading her team to a second consecutive state championship…was part of the Chargers 2012 state championship, as well as their third place finish in 2013…tallied 258 kills on 516 attempts posting a .390 kill efficiency…was a two-time all-conference and all-state selection, and earned the Big VII conference MVP award in 2015…a four-year letter winner, she was selected to play in the 2015 South Dakota All-Star Game.

15 Brooke Granstra 5-11 Middle Blocker, Outside Hitter SR Sioux Center, Iowa

2015…averaged 3.37  kills per set in 117 sets played…accounted for 2.56 digs per set and nearly a block per set…claimed all-GPAC and all-AVCA first-team honors… had 20 or more kills in four matches with a season high 23 kills against the College of Saint Mary on October 3…had a season high 18 digs against the College of Saint Mary on November 7 and recorded four ace serves against the College of the Ozarks on September 5…was in on a season high seven blocks against Davenport on August 29.

2014…earned first-team all-GPAC honors after averaging a team high 3.0 kills per set and also got to 2.7 digs per contest…had a .275 kill efficiency and also earned honorable mention All-American honors from the NAIA…had a season high 20 kills against Morningside on September 17…got to 23 digs against Briar Cliff on September 13…was in on a season high six blocks against The Master’s, August 22, and had three service aces in matches with Viterbo and Morningside on August 29 and October 15 respectively.

2013…averaged 3.11 kills per set with a .290 kill efficiency in 34 matches and 126 sets played…got to 2.44 digs per set and was in on 0.63 blocks per set…was named the Freshman of the Year in the GPAC and in the NAIA by the AVCA…was a first-team all-GPAC member and claimed AVCA all-region honors…was a Tachikara-NAIA honorable mention all-American and earned the same honor from the AVCA…put down a season high 22 kills against Wayland Baptist at the NAIA National Championship on December 6…was in on a season high eight blocks against Buena Vista on October 3.

Before Dordt…helped Western Christian (Iowa) to a state runner-up finish in Class 2A and was named to the 2012 all-tournament team…earned Elite All-State honors and Class 2A Co-Player of the Year honors…totaled 1,402 kills and had 142 ace serves with 792 digs and 338 blocks…claimed Elite All-State honors in 2011 and was a first-team all-state selection in 2010 and 2011…helped Western to a state championship in 2010 along with a runner-up finish in 2011 and claimed all-tournament honors both times.

Before Dordt…graduated from Western Christian High School (Iowa)…finished her senior campaign with 42 aces and 93 percent serving efficiency for the Wolfpack…was a second-team all-conference selection and averaged 2.09 digs per set…part of Wolfpack teams that won the 2015 Iowa Class 2A State Volleyball Championship, and finished as runner-up in 2013 and 2014. 

17 Anna Christians 5-7 Defensive Specialist FR Sioux Center, Iowa

Before Dordt…graduated from Unity Christian High School (Iowa)…finished her senior season with a serve receive percentage of 95.54 and she averaged 1.7 digs per game…served up 32 aces with a serve efficiency of 94.32 percent…helped Unity to a state tournament berth in both 2014 and 2015…was a 2015 academic all-state honoree.

18 Leah Kamp 5-11 Middle Blocker, Outside Hitter SO Tinley Park, Illinois

Before Dordt…attended Calvin College (Michigan) in 2015-16…graduated from Chicago Christian High School (Illinois)  and had 124 career solo blocks, 275 total career blocks, 71 aces, 236 digs and 554 kills…earned all-conference honors in both volleyball and basketball and was selected an All-American for her play in AAU volleyball.  

19 Summer Jansen 5-10 Defensive Specialist JR Sheldon, Iowa

2015…played in 31 matches and 114 sets…averaged a team high 4.9 digs per set…claimed second-team all-GPAC honors…recorded 20 or more digs on ten occasions…had a season high 31 digs against Viterbo on December 2 at the NAIA National Championships.

2014…played in 101 sets and had a 2.57 digs per set average…recorded 20 service aces in 26 matches played…had a season high 26 digs against Doane on October 3 and had 20 digs against Dakota Wesleyan on October 7…was credited with three service aces against Morningside on September 17.

Before Dordt…totaled 395 digs and 243 kills in 2013 as Western Christian (Iowa) finished as the runner-up at the Class 2A Iowa State Tournament…had 29 ace serves and was in on 36 blocks while earning second-team all-Lakes Conference honors and third-team honors from the Northwest Iowa Review.

20 Elizabeth Kiel 6-0 Middle Blocker SR Orange City, Iowa

2015…played in 115 sets and averaged 1.77 kills per set with a .241 kill efficiency and she averaged nearly a block per set…earned all-GPAC honorable mention honors…recorded a kill efficiency of .857 against Jamestown on October 1…had ten blocks against Viterbo on October 13 and recorded seven blocks on two other occasions…recorded a season high 11 kills on five occasions.

2014…played in all 116 sets and had a 1.87 kills per set average…recorded a .243 kill efficiency and earned honorable mention all-GPAC honors…recorded a season high 12 kills twice against Jamestown and Briar Cliff on September 6 and October 22.

2013…averaged 1.57 kills per set in 34 matches played…had a .274 kill efficiency and averaged 0.71 blocks per set in 125 sets played...had a season high eight blocks against John Brown on August 30.

Before Dordt…averaged 3.2 kills per set with a .330 kill efficiency for Unity Christian (Iowa) and had nearly a block per outing for the Knights in 2011 and 2012…claimed first-team all-state honors in 2012 from both the IGCA and the Des Moines Register…was a two-time all-conference selection and earned all-area honors from the Northwest Iowa Review twice along with all-district honors.

2015…played in 101 sets and 28 matches…recorded 2.32 kills per set with a .242 kill efficiency and averaged just under a block per set…was a second-team all-GPAC selection…recorded a season high 13 kills on three occasions…had a season high eight blocks against Davenport on August 29.

2014…had a 1.87 kills per set average with a .252 kill efficiency while earning all-GPAC second team honors …was also named the GPAC Freshman of the Year and had team high 19 solo blocks and she had 91 assisted blocks…had a season high 19 kills against MidAmerica Nazarene on September 5..recorded nine solo blocks and four assisted blocks against Concordia on October 25.

Before Dordt…was a part of three state tournament runner-up teams for Western Christian (Iowa) and one state champion squad…earned first-team all-state and all-district honors in 2013 after averaging 2.55 kills per set  with a .414 kill efficiency…recorded .89 blocks per set as a senior and had 281 total kills… recorded 277 kills in 2012 and 222 as a sophomore….was in on 95 blocks in 2012…earned first-team all-conference honors in 2012 after claiming second-team honors in 2011.

Before Dordt…played for Cedar Catholic High School (Nebraska)…racked up 1697 set assists, 742 digs, 298 kills, 105 services aces and 93 blocks in 2015…earned Class C All-Area Elite 8 First-Team honors along with All-State Honorable mention honors after leading her team to a MidState Conference Championship and district runner-up finish in 2015…was named to the all-conference first-team, and voted team mvp.

Before Dordt…earned all-conference honors twice while playing for Deubrook Area High School (South Dakota)…helped her team to a conference title and regional final berths twice.

Before Dordt…prepped at Milaca High School (Minnesota)…had 223 kills and 24 solo blocks in 2015 and earned all-conference honors for the fourth time…earned academic all-conference honors multiple times in volleyball and basketball.

Before Dordt… graduated ITESM Campus Central de Veracruz…had the best reception stats in Veracruz U.19 volleyball and was selected 2013 Best State Libero U.19…competed for several teams that finished well in CONADEIP play…CONADEIP is the Comisión Nacional Deportiva Estudiantil de Instituciones Privadas which is the governing body for interscholastic play in Mexico.
