1 Emily Holz 5-10 Goalkeeper SO Tucson, Arizona

2010…played 15 minutes in goal for the Defenders.

Before Dordt...played at Desert Christian (Arizona)… competed primarily as a keeper but also played some striker…recorded 225 saves, 26 shut-outs and averages giving up just one goal per outing in three seasons of play…helped the Eagles to three straight conference titles and the Eagles were the Arizona state runner-up in 2009…named first team all-state in 2009 and made the second team in 2008 and 2010… received the Desert Christian's highest athletic honor the "Eagle Award" for leadership, academics and performance in athletics.

Before Dordt …tallied 32 goals and 52 assists in her four years at Buhler High School (Kansas)….was named Buhler’s Most Inspirational Player her senior season…was also a 1st team all-league, 1st team all-area and All-Area Player of the Year, 1st team all-region and second team all-state selection…set a single season assist record in ’09 with 26 assists…was 1st team all-area all four years at Buhler.

Before Dordt...forward and midfielder for the Lincoln North Star (Nebraska) Gators and has tallied 13 goals and 16 assists while playing in 52 career high school matches...helped Lincoln North to a third place finish in conference and and to the district finals during her sophomore year...Gators were champions of the Burke Invitational and Papillion South Invite and finished the season with a #10 state ranking... All-Conference Honorable Mention as a junior.

5 Rindy De Nooy 5-3 Forward SR Sioux Center, Iowa

2010…suffered a knee injury in the 11th game of the season that ended the year…scored six goals and had one assist…named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete…named 3rd team all-district in the Co-SIDA/ESPN Academic All-American program.

2009…earned second team all-GPAC honors….scored three goals and had two assists.

2008…finished 3rd in goals scored for Dordt during her freshman season… tallied 8 goals times for the Defenders…16 points was good for a tie for third on the team… received honorable mention in the GPAC as a freshman.

Before Dordt…earned honorable mention all-state honors while playing for Unity Christian (Iowa). Played defensive midfield for the Knights.

Before Dordt… outside midfielder and striker for the Miners and helped El Diamante to West Yosemite League Championships in 2010 and 2011...Miners were semifinalists in the Central California section in 2011…served as team captain this past season and was voted the team's Most Inspirational Players.

2008…played in 17 games… added a goal and an assist as an outside midfielder.

Before Dordt …Played forward and center midfield while at Sheboygan County Christian (Wisconsin)…. four year starter, Smies served as co-captain for the 2007-2008 season and earned all-conference accolades during her high school career…totaled over 20 goals at Sheboygan County Christian…was a unanimous Central Lakeshore Conference pick in 2008.

Before Dordt…helped Denver Christian (Colorado) to three trips to the Colorado state soccer play-offs with the team getting to the semi-finals on one occasion and the quarter-finals on two others…served at the team captain, was voted the MVP for the Crusaders and was selected to the Metro League All-Conference Team.
