2 Jesse Jansma 6-4 Guard SO Sioux Center, Iowa

2017-18…played in 31 games and averaged 8.4 points per game…converted 35.5 percent of his three-point shots…averaged 2.3 rebounds per game…had a season high 27 points against Midland on December 9 and made seven three-point shots in that game…scored in double figures 11 times.

Before Dordt… prepped at Western Christian (Iowa)…helped the Wolfpack to a 2017 state title and averaged 14.7 points per game and converted 31.9 percent of his three-point shots…earned all-conference and all-state honors…averaged 11.6 points per game as a junior while pulling in 5.1 rebounds per game with 2.8 assists per game and he converted 45.9 percent of his three-point tries in 2015-16…as a sophomore Jansma converted 9.0 points per game with 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists and he converted 42.4 percent of his three-point shots that season… was named to the all-tournament team in 2016 and 2017 and was named the player of the game in the 2A title game both years.

3 Alec Henrickson 6-2 Guard SR Spirit Lake, Iowa

2017-18…played 22 games and averaged 13.4 points per game while converting 37.5 percent of his three-point shots…missed nine games with injury…passed 1,000 career point mark and has 1,049 career points and has made 172 career three-point baskets…had a season high 31 points against Concordia on December 2.

2016-17…was the team’s leading scorer with a 15.6 points per game average and converted 43.5 percent of his three-point tries...scored a career high 36 points against Northwestern on January 25…had a season high eight assists against Morningside on January 11…earned second-team honors from the GPAC.

2015-16…played in 31 games and averaged 9.7 points per game…converted 33.5 percent of his three-point shots and had a team high 53 made three-point baskets…closed the season with seven straight games in double digit scoring…had a season high 35 points against Nebraska Wesleyan on February 24.

Before Dordt… scored over 1,000 points during his career at Spirit Lake (Iowa)…averaged 14.9 points per game while converting 33.8 percent of his three-point attempts…grabbed 3.2 rebounds per game and averaged 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals…was a two-time all-Lakes Conference pick…averaged 24 points per game as a junior…earned second-team all-state honors from the Des Moines Register and Iowa Newspaper Association.

2017-18…played in 31 games and averaged 12.1 points per game with 3.9 rebounds…converted 48.4 percent of his field goals and 35 percent of his three-point shots…had a season high 28 points against Mount Marty on January 24 and grabbed ten rebounds twice and handed out six assists against Waldorf on November 7…earned all-GPAC second-team honors.

2016-17…averaged 11.3 points per game while starting 30 games…converted 42.6 percent of his three-point shots and 49.6 percent of his field goals…grabbed 5.9 rebounds per game and blocked 13 shots…scored a season high 30 points against Doane on January 28 and took in 13 rebounds against Mount Marty on January 7…handed out four assists in three different games.

Before Dordt… prepped at Sioux Center (Iowa)…averaged 17.1 points, 10.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game for the Warriors one season after posting averages of 12.2 points, six rebounds and two assists per game…earned all-Siouxland Conference first-team honors as a senior and third-team honors as a junior.

5 Chad Barkema 6-5 Forward JR Sioux Falls, South Dakota

2017-18…played in 31 games and started 30…averaged 7.8 points per game with 3.8 rebounds…converted 49.2 percent of his field goal attempts…led the team with 19 blocked shots…had a season high 20 points against Waldorf on November 7…handed out four assists three different times and had four blocked shots and four steals against Hastings on February 10.

2016-17…played in 27 games and started nine…scored 4.7 points per game and took down 3.6 rebounds per game…scored a season high 16 points against Silver Lake on January 4 and was 10-10 from the free throw line in that game…grabbed a season high 10 rebounds against Northwestern Ohio on November 25…handed out seven assists against Oak Hills Christian on December 30.

Before Dordt… played for Sioux Falls Christian High School (South Dakota) and helped the Chargers to a 2016 South Dakota State Title…averaged 15 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals per game while earning second-team all-state honors and first-team all-conference honors as a junior…was a three-time all-city team selection and averaged 16.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.4 steals per game while earning first-team all-state honors for the Chargers in 2015-16.

10 Chandler Brunsting 6-1 Guard JR Hull, Iowa

2017-18…only player on the roster to start all 31 games…averaged 7.9 points per game and led the team with 4.5 rebounds per game…converted 46.6 percent of his field goal attempts and 38.8 percent of his three-point shots…led the team with 2.2 assists per game…scored 23 points against Midland on January 27 and had 12 rebounds twice aginst Fisk and Northwestern…handed out seven assists against Dakota State on November 1…earned all-GPAC honorable mention notice.

2016-17…played in 23 games and averaged 3.7 points per game…converted 42.5 percent of his three-point shots…scored 16 points against Mount Marty on February 15 and had five made three-point shots in that game...handed out a season high five assists in the win over Mount Marty.

Before Dordt… averaged 13.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.4 assists for the Boyden Hull Comets (Iowa) and was named first-team all-conference as Boyden Hull finished the season 20-4…as a junior Brunsting averaged 10.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game on the way to earning second-team all-conference honors.

11 Ben Gesink 6-3 Guard SO Sioux Center, Iowa

2017-18…played in 31 games and started 13…averaged 8.1 points per game and took in 2.7 rebounds per game…converted 47.6 percent of his field goal attempts…scored a season high 15 points against Dakota Wesleyan on January 17…scored in double figures 11 times.

Before Dordt… prepped at Western Christian High School (Iowa)…helped the Wolfpack to state titles the last two seasons…averaged 15.2 points per game in 2016-17 and averaged nearly six rebounds and four assists per game…earned all-conference, all-state and all-state tournament honors as a senior…helped Western to a 2016 state title and a state tournament berth in 2015…averaged nine points a game as a junior and averaged three rebounds and three assists per game with 1.5 steals.

2017-18…played in four games…averaged 13.7 points per game for the Dordt College junior varsity team.

Before Dordt… averaged 9.0 points per game with three rebounds and two assists per game as a junior at Rock Valley High School (Iowa)..sat out his senior season with an injury suffered during Boyden Hull/Rock Valley’s state title run in football.

 

20 Caleb Harmsen 6-0 Guard FR Rock Rapids, Iowa

Before Dordt…prepped at Western Christian High School (Iowa)…averaged 13.8 points per game and converted 38.9 percent of his three-point shots…earned all-Lakes Conference honors after both his junior and senior seasons…averaged 9.0 points per game with 2.3 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game while converting 48 three-point baskets for the Western as the Wolfpack claimed a 2017 state title…averaged 3.5 points per game and converted 71.5 percent of his three-point shots as a sophomore…helped Western to back to back state titles in 2016 and 2017.

22 Garrett Franken 6-7 Forward SO Atlantic, Iowa

Before Dordt…attended the University of North Dakota in 2017-18 where he played in 12 games…graduated from Atlantic High School (Iowa) where he scored 1,543 career points and finished his career as the Trojans career scoring leader…was an all-state selection after averaging 23.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.2 steals per contest while helping Atlantic to the state tournament…was a two-time first-team all-conference selection and averaged 16.0 points per game as a high school junior; 15.3 as a sophomore and 11.9 as a freshman.

25 Josh Van Lingen 6-6 Forward JR Sioux Center, Iowa

2017-18…played in 30 games…averaged 5.5 points per game with 2.6 rebounds per game…converted 52.1 percent of his field goals…scored a season high 15 points against Central Methodist on November 17…had eight rebounds against Dakota State on December 29 and handed out four assists in three different games.

2016-17…played in 31 games…averaged 5.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game and converted 51 percent of his field goals…scored 15 points against Mayville State on December 31 and snared eight rebounds twice in a game against Calvaray on October 29 and Doane on January 28.

Before Dordt… graduated from Western Christian (Iowa) after starting for four seasons… averaged double digits in points and rebounds his last three seasons… Van Lingen scored 17.8 points per game with 10.6 rebounds per contest in 2015-16 and blocked 69 shots. He was a first-team all-state basketball selection twice and helped Western to two state titles and three state tournament berths…scored 1,665 points in high school and is Western’s career leader in rebounds with 1,027…Western was 95-8 in Van Lingen’s four seasons…was a National Honor Society member and was on the honor roll at Western.

32 Ethan Brouwer 6-4 Forward SO Raymond, Minnesota

2017-18…averaged 9.9 points per game for the Dordt College junior varsity team.

Before Dordt…earned all-conference honors last season and all-tournament honors for Central Minnesota Christian in 2016 and 2017.

 

34 Lee Vande Kamp 6-5 Forward SO Sioux Falls, South Dakota

2017-18…averaged 6.9 points per game for the Dordt College junior varsity team before suffering a season ending injury near Christmas.

Before Dordt…averaged eight points, five rebounds and three assists for Sioux Falls Christian (South Dakota) as a senior and helped the Chargers to a state title.

35 Dustin Marra 6-6 Forward JR Sioux Center, Iowa

2017-18…played in seven games and averaged 1.0 points per game…averaged 11.1 points per game for the Dordt College junior varsity team.

2016-17…averaged 6.8 points per game while playing for the Dordt junior varsity team.

Before Dordt… played for Western Christian (Iowa)…averaged 5.8 points and 5.0 rebounds per game..for the 2015-16 state champion Wolfpack.

41 Zach Bussard 6-6 Forward JR Papillion, Nebraska

2017-18…played in 22 games…averaged 5.1 points and made 63.6 percent of his field goals…scored a career high 25 points on 9-9 field goal shooting against Hastings on February 10.

2016-17…played in 13 games and averaged 5.5 points per game while converting 67 percent of his field goals…scored 12 points in season opening win over Calvary on October 29 and had a season high eight rebounds.

Before Dordt… graduated from Papillion La Vista South (Nebraska)…averaged 13.3 points and 7.5 rebounds while shooting 57 percent from the field…served as team captain and was named Class A all-state honorable mention in 2015 and earned academic all-state honors twice.

43 Isaac Prewitt 6-1 Guard FR Urbandale, Iowa

Before Dordt… graduated from Des Moines Christian (Iowa)…scored 21.5 points per game this past season while converting 49.7 percent of his field goal attempts and made 64 three-point shots while converting 39 percent of his three-point shots…averaged 2.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game while earning all-conference first-team honors for a second straight year…was a first-team all-state selection this season and was an all-district pick the last two seasons…scored 1,036 points with 203 career assists and he made 143 career three-point shots…converted 47.9 percent of his field goals and 39.8 percent of his three-point shots during his career.

50 Mitch Lambert 6-3 Guard JR Forest City, Iowa

2017-18…averaged 7.8 points per game for the Dordt College junior varsity team.

Before Dordt… averaged 11 points and five rebounds for Forest City High School (Iowa) during his senior season…converted on 33 percent of his shot attempts from behind the arc, making 43 three-pointers in 2015-2016…shot 40.3 percent from the floor and had a team best, 55 steals...awarded first-team all-conference honors and named to the Globe Gazette all-area team for his efforts on the court…was selected to play in the North Iowa All-Star game at the conclusion of his senior season…Lambert helped Forest City win conference titles in 2014 and 2015, while contributing to the Indians 2015 state tournament appearance.
