Before Dordt…earned all-conference and all-state honors while playing for Sioux Center High School (Iowa)… averaged just over 10 points per game in 2013-14 after missing early games with an injury…averaged 14.3 points per game as a junior with 5.9 rebounds per game and he handed out just under four assists per game…scored 9.5 points per game while taking down 3.8 rebounds as Sioux Center earned a spot in the 2012 Class 2A State Tournament…a multi-sport athlete O’Donnell quarterbacked Sioux Center to the 2013 State Semifinals.

5 Bryan Sumner 6-2 185 Guard JR Ankeny, Iowa

2014-15…started all 31 games for the Defenders…averaged 10.3 points per game with 3.2 rebounds…converted 50.2 percent of his field goals and 42.8 percent of his three-point shots…scored a season high 24 points against Mount Marty on January 21.

2013-14…played in 34 games and averaged 4.8 points per game with 1.7 rebounds…converted 47.6 percent of his field goal attempts including 43.7 percent success from the three-point line…scored a season high 11 points in four different games...took down six rebounds against Hastings on March 1.

Before Dordt…averaged 12 points and three rebounds along with a steal per game in his senior campaign at Ankeny (Iowa) High School…averaged nine points and three rebounds as a junior while helping the Hawks to a third place finish at the Class 4A State Tournament and a Central Iowa Metro League championship…averaged eight points as a sophomore when Ankeny placed third in the 2011 state tournament…Ankeny won over 60 games with Sumner in the lineup.

2014-15…averaged 8.6 points per game for the junior varsity after coming back from injury.

Before Dordt…three-year member of Western’s varsity basketball program…averaged 18.9 points per game and 3.5 assists per outing while converting nearly 50 percent of his field goal attempts as a senior.

2014-15…started 19 games and played in all 31…averaged 9.5 points per game and 3.1 rebounds per game…converted 35.4 percent of his three-point shots…had a season high 20 points against Morningside on February 11.

2013-14…played in all 34 games for the Defenders…averaged 13.7 minutes per game…tossed in 4.8 points per game and took down 1.6 rebounds per game…converted 39-111 three-point shots for 35.1 percent success…scored a season high 17 points against Martin Luther on December 19…scored in double figures seven times.

Before Dordt…helped lead Denver (Colorado) Christian High School to back-to-back state championships in 2012 and 2013…averaged 19.6 points per game along with 3.1 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game…was a four-year starter and was named the 2013 Colorado Class 2A Player of the Year this season…was twice named first-team all-state and all-conference…with Terpstra in the lineup Denver Christian won 83 games.

15 Nathan Rindels 6-1 180 Guard SR Boulder, Colorado

2014-15…one of three Defenders to start all 31 games…averaged a team high 16.4 points per game and grabbed 5.0 rebounds per game…led the team in assists with a 4.5 average…scored 22 points or more on eight occasions…scored a career high 43 points against Nebraska Wesleyan on January 10…gave out ten assists on two occasions against Concordia on December 6 and Northwestern on February 18…earned first-team all-GPAC honors…enters the season with 991points, 309 assists and 380 rebounds during his career…ranks 6th all-time in assists at Dordt.

2013-14…played in and started 33 games…averaged 12.9 points per game with 5.4 rebounds per contest while assisting on nearly four baskets per game…made 48 percent of his field goals and 86.4 percent of his free throws…had a season high 26 points against Morningside on February 12…scored more than 20 points eight times…recorded a triple-double in the first round game of the NAIA National Tournament against William Penn with 21 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists…earned second-team all-GPAC honors.

2012-13…played in all 35 games and averaged 11.1 minutes per game…scored 1.6 points per game with 1.4 rebounds…converted 42.9 percent of his field goal attempts…had a season high ten points against Grace on November 6.

21 Ross Cooper 6-3 180 Guard FR Aplington, Iowa

Before Dordt… graduated from Aplington-Parkersburg High School (Iowa)…was a first-team all-state picke after averaging 15.3 points per game…took down 8.0 rebounds per contest while handing out 2.2 assists and averaged 2.1 steals with 2.3 blocks per game…helped the Falcons to a state tournament berth where they finished fourth…claimed Iowa High School Academic All-State honors in 2015…was a first-team all-conference honoree in 2014.  

23 Danny Vos 6-0 190 Guard JR Ripon, California

2014-15…played in 17 games…averaged just under a point per game.

2013-14…played in 12 games…bothered by injury much of the season…averaged 1.2 points and 1.1 rebounds.

Before Dordt…started for three seasons at point guard for Ripon (Califoria) Christian High School and has averaged 10.6 points per game over his career with 7.3 assists and 2.8 steals…earned all-conference and all-area honors as a sophomore and junior and was the league most valuable player as a junior…helped Ripon Christian to 36 straight conference wins.

25 JD Boer 6-4 190 Guard SR Hull, Iowa

2014-15…played in 18 games…missed the first six weeks of the season with injury…earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.

2013-14…played in 25 games for the Defenders…averaged 6.3 minutes per game.

2012-13…played in 16 games for the Dordt College junior varsity team…averaged eight points a game and also played in a varsity contest for the Defenders.

31 Austin Bykerk 6-7 205 Forward FR Jenison, Michigan

Before Dordt… averaged 16 points and 6.3 rebounds per game at Unity Christian (Michigan) in 2014-15…claimed all-state honorable mention honors and was a first-team all-conference pick…MLIVE Grand Rapids Dream Team honorable mention…averaged 11 points and five rebounds for Unity as a junior.

2014-15…missed season with injury.

2013-14…averaged 15.8 points per game and 4.5 rebounds in 33 games played…converted 48.3 percent of his field goal attempts and 38.7 percent of his three-point shots…earned all-GPAC second-team honors…claimed GPAC Freshman of the Year honors…scored a season high 32 points against Dakota State on January 25…scored in double figures in 26 games…scored more than 20 points in a game 10 times.

Before Dordt…averaged 16 points and nine rebounds for Atlantic (Iowa) High School…was a four-year starter and earned first team all-conference honors multiple times…earned first-team all-state honors as a senior and Class 3A second-team all-state honors as a junior…was a third-team all-state honors from the Iowa Newspaper Association…scored over 1,000 career points and was a 2013 McDonald’s All-American nominee.

Before Dordt… played for Faith Christian Academy (Colorado)…averaged 11.7 points per game with 8.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals…was a first-team 3A Metro All-Conference pick and was a second-team all-state selection in 2015…played in the Colorado High School Basketball All-Star Game “The Show”…earned second-team all-state honors as a junior while averaging 11 points and nine rebounds per game…helped Faith Christian to a third place finish in the Class 3A State Tournament in 2014.

41 Patrick Knoblauch 6-2 195 Guard JR Sauk Centre, Minnesota

2014-15…played in 31 games and started four…averaged 3.0 rebounds and 1.4 points per game…scored a season high seven points against Midland on November 15 and had a season high 10 rebounds in a win over Valley City State on November 8.

2013-14…played in 20 games…averaged 1.0 points per game and had a season high five points against Mount Marty on November 26.

Before Dordt…Knoblauch averaged 14 points, 3.5 assists, 1.9 steals and 2.7 rebounds per game as a sophomore and junior…capped his career with a senior season where he averaged 17.0 points per game average and 6.5 assists per contest for Sauk Centre (Minnesota) High School….earned all-conference Sauk Valley all-area team three times and took St. Cloud Times all-area honorable mention twice…ranks second all-time at Sauk Centre with 345 assists and is fourth all-time in scoring.  

43 Leighton Sampson 6-5 230 Forward SO Worthington, Minnesota

2014-15…played in 31 games and started seven…averaged 11.2 points per game and converted 54.5 percent of his field goal attempts…took down three rebounds per game…scored in double figures 21 times…had a season high 33 points against Nebraska Wesleyan on January 10…named all-GPAC honorable mention.

Before Dordt…earned all-area, all-conference and all-state honors during his career while playing for Southwest Christian (Minnesota)…averaged over 20 points per game as a senior and scored over 1,000 career points.

45 Taylor Feenstra 6-7 230 Forward SO Hull, Iowa

2014-15…played in 30 games and started four…scored 7.5 points per game with 4.4 rebounds per contest…made 47.9 percent of his field goals…scored double figures 11 times and had a season high 17 points against Martin Luther on December 18…grabbed a season high 11 rebounds against Nebraska Wesleyan on February 14.

Before Dordt…earned all-conference and all-state honors while helping Western Christian (Iowa) to an undefeated season and state championship in 2013-14…averaged 14 points and 13 rebounds per game… scored 11.2 points and took down 7.4 rebounds per game as a junior...started three seasons of basketball at Western Christian.

Before Dordt… helped Glenwood (Iowa) to a Class 3A State Tournament berth in 2015…earned second-team all-conference honors while averaging 12.6 points and 8.4 rebounds per game…earned Hawkeye Ten Honorable Mention All-Conference honors in 2014 and was a First-Team All-Mills County honoree as well.
