Where they are now
“Where Are They Now” is a podcast series featuring Dordt’s alumni student-athletes. This episode features Nate Forseth, a 2015 Dordt graduate. Forseth played baseball at Dordt. He is a plant manager for a Pella Corporation location in Kentucky. Below are some of Forseth’s quotes from the interview.
On why he chose Dordt
“My dad started working at Dordt as the provost, and I got in contact with the baseball coach. A few of my good friends from back home were at Dordt as well, so I transferred in before my junior year.”
On choosing his major
“I’m really interested in trade and the way business relates to the team environment. It’s one of the closest things I’ve found to actually playing a sport with a team, working with other people to accomplish goals. Spanish has helped me in the jobs I’ve had post-college, especially as the economy becomes more global.”
On what sticks out to him about Dordt
“Absolutely the people. I forget specific games, my baseball stats, and win/loss record, but I remember the quality of the people that I was able to play baseball with and interact with. They helped me grow not only as a player, but a person and a man of God.”
