cool things that i did at dordt

I did an awesome internship in Washington at Tiger Construction. I also made a whole new group of friends and picked up lifting as a hobby.

obstacles i've overcome

I learned how to be a social person. I also learned how to have the mindset that if I don't know something I can learn how and excel at it.

who i was when i came to dordt

I wanted to meet new people and I thought that I was so smart. I was arrogant.

how dordt impacted me

I learned how to be humble and through that I could learn how to be a better worker and bring more value to a company.

where i am now

I work as a project engineer and estimator for Tiger Construction LTD in Washington. I manage small civil construction projects and help manage the civil side of larger education building projects. (Updated 2/25/19)

what i would tell prospective students

Go to Dordt because it will be a place you will miss once you are gone. It is one of my fondest memories other than getting married.

how dordt helped me do more

Dordt helped me to understand the importance of values in life, because then everything else will fall into place. You need to think of the world as a whole system rather than just one field of study. Dordt also taught me the importance of networking because you never know what can turn into full-time employment.
