boone music participation scholarship
Gregg and Shari Boone established this scholarship to encourage students that participate in the music program at Dordt University. This scholarship will be awarded for a student's junior or senior year. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and enrolled full-time at Dordt University. Applicants must be actively involoved and engaged in the Dordt University Music program and have clearly demonstrated leadership and respect for faculty and peers.
bouwkamp music Scholarship
The Bouwkamps established this scholarship to financially encourage an upperclassman who is involved in a choral music ensemble at Dordt University. Preference will be given to a student who demonstrates an appreciation for classical music and its godly uses.
Brommer Sanitation Golf Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a top tier golf player who exhibits Christian character both on and off the course. The recipient must meet NAIA and GPAC guidelines for participation in the golf program.
david temte memorial scholarship
David Temte was a valued member of the Dordt University Track and Field team before he was killed in an automobile accident in the summer of 2019. This scholarship was established in his memory, to be awarded to a track or cross country athlete who possesses traits similar to David--compassion, integrity, team-first approach, dependability, and humility. Recipient must meet NAIA and GPAC guidelines for participation in the track and field and/or cross country program.
gord and gert blom instrumental music scholarship
An upperclassman student that is a member of the wind symphony will be selected as the recipient of this scholarship. The recipient must be a full-time student and in good academic standing.

This scholarship, chosen by the Dordt University men's basketball coaching staff, will be awarded to a top tier basketball player who exhibits Christian character both on and off the court. Recipient must meet NAIA and GPAC guidelines for participation in the men's basketball program. This scholarship may be awarded in addition to other athletic scholarships.
Huisman Women’s Basketball Scholarship
Established by Lyle and Julia Huisman, this scholarship is awarded to a women’s basketball player who exhibits excellent basketball abilities and is an integral part of the Dordt University women’s basketball program. The recipient must be a full-time student in good academic standing and meet NAIA and GPAC guidelines for participation.
James Koldenhoven Theatre Arts Scholarship
Dr. James Koldenhoven, Professor of Theater Arts, Emeritus 1997 and friends established this scholarship for a student pursuing a theatre arts area of study, although not necessarily a theatre arts major. Academic success will be considered, but potential and participation in theatre arts will be more important than GPA. Freshmen, sophomores or juniors can apply.
Jeffrey A. Alons Theatre Arts Scholarship
The family of Jeffrey A. Alons established this scholarship in his memory. Jeff graduated from Dordt in 1986 with a theater arts and English major. He worked in professional theater until his death in 1995. This scholarship is for a student pursuing a theatre arts area of study, although not necessarily a theatre arts major. Academic success will be considered, but potential and participation in theatre arts will be more important than GPA. Freshmen, sophomores or juniors can apply.
John and Reona Reinsma Organ Scholarship
This scholarship, established by Gerald Reinsma in honor of his parents, will be awarded to a student who contributes to church music programs as well as the Dordt University music programs. Applicants need not be majoring in music; however, they must be able to demonstrate performance ability in the area of organ music.
kapellmeister vocal music scholarship
Students who excel in the area of vocal music will be considered for this scholarship. Recipient must be a member of at least one of the vocal music ensembles at Dordt University.
kristin brouwer women's volleyball scholarship
Steven and Carol Brouwer set up this scholarship in honor of long-time volunteer coach, Kristin Brouwer. This scholarship will be awarded to a top quality athlete who will contribute to excellence in the Dordt University Women's Volleyball Program. Selected by the volleyball coaching staff, this scholarship may be awarded alone or in conjunction with another athletic scholarship as long as the recipient meets the NAIA and GPAC guidelines for participation.
Len and Lee Rhoda Women's Basketball Scholarship
Len Rhoda, Professor of Physical Education Emeritus 2005 and his wife Lee wish to encourage students who have or will make a significant contribution to the Dordt University Women's Basketball Program. Recipients must have a 2.50 cumulative GPA. The Dordt University Women's Basketball Coach and the Dordt University Director of Athletics will select the recipients.
This scholarship is intended for students starting organ "from scratch," but who have a piano background. The scholarship is to help cover a semester of lessons, with an allowance for organ shoes and organ music.
After completing the application, please contact the Director of Keyboard Studies, Mrs. Carrie Groenewold (email@example.com), to coordinate a time to discuss the scholarship. As a part of that meeting, applicants will be asked to demonstrate at least an intermediate level of piano skill by playing a hymn and short piece, such as a hymn arrangement or piece from the standard piano literature.
Ringerwole Organ Scholarship
Alvin and Lula Ringerwole, parents of Dr. Joan Ringerwole, Professor of Music, Emerita 2005 established this scholarship to support students who desire to continue studying organ music performance. Applicants will be required to play a selected list of works for a jury examination committee, and the recipient will be required to take organ lessons from a Dordt University faculty member for both semesters in which the Ringerwole Organ Scholarship monies are awarded.
scott visser hi-five prayer warrior basketball scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a top quality basketball player who has Christian leadership qualities as an encourager to all athletes, especially youth athletes. The recipient will exhibit the Defender Way, both on and off the court and meet all NAIA and GPAC guidelines for participating in the men's basketball program. This scholarship can also be awarded in addition to other athletic scholarships.
stacey kooiman baseball leadership scholarship
The Kooiman family established this scholarship in memory of Stacey Kooiman, a Dordt graduate who participated on the baseball team. It's their desire to financially encourage a baseball player that exhibits many of the traits that Stacey possessed while playing baseball, including tenacity, passion, integrity, team-first approach, dependability, humility, and above all, God-glorifying. The recipient must meet all NAIA and GPAC guidelines for participation and the scholarship may be awarded in addition to other athletic scholarships.
tj and shannon mellema football scholarship
The Mellemas set up this scholarship to be awarded to a Dordt University football player who exhibits excellent football playing abilities. Preference will be given to a student from Lynden Christian High School, then a student from the state of Washington, then any student as selected by the football coaching staff.
tlc women's soccer scholarship
Dale and Jean Jansen established this scholarship to be awarded to a top-quality women's soccer player at Dordt University. This scholarship may be awarded in addition to other soccer scholarships.
