Two-Year Option

Dordt offers a two-year associate of arts degree with a concentration in general studies. In addition to taking Core requirements and electives, you will take seven courses that have been designed in consultation with and approved by the registrar to meet your specific educational goals.

"The two-year degree in general studies is a good option for students who aren’t sure if a four-year degree is right for them. Students graduating with an A.A. in general studies have found positions ranging from insurance salesperson, bank teller, and nursing home aide. Others earn their A.A. degree, then decide to go on for a bachelor’s degree. The general studies option allows that flexibility." —Quentin Van Essen, Director of Admissions
