Internships and Service Learning

Internships and other experiential learning opportunities allow Dordt students to learn more about what they want to do professionally after graduation. The Career Development Center is a great resource for students who are interested in pursuing internships.

Serving others is an integral part of what it means to be a Christian, and Dordt College students make volunteering an important part of their college experience.

They've found several unique opportunities to serve locally and abroad, including on campus in programs such as Campus Ministries, in Sioux Center through Community Outreach Program (COP), across America through Putting Love into Action (PLIA), and internationally through A Mission OutReach (AMOR).

About 60 percent of Dordt students volunteer nearly 18,000 hours of work each year. In fact, Dordt College has been named a member of the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for its commitment to service and civic engagement.
