With Dordt since 2001, David Versluis taught graphic design and art courses and directed the Campus Center Art Gallery. He retired from teaching in 2019 and moved to Michigan but continued to serve as curator of the Dordt University Permanent Art Collection until 2020. Versluis's significant contributions in displaying visual art on Dordt's campus were recognized when he received the faculty/administration 2019 Noteworthy Scholarship award.
Versluis is actively producing drawings, prints, and sculpture. He participates in curated exhibitions, internationally, nationally and regionally; his works were recently selected for the 2021 Regional Biennial Sculpture Exhibition, Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum, Saginaw Valley State University, Saginaw, Michigan and the 2020 Threads of Truth exhibition, Zhou B Art Center, Chicago.
Nature/creation continue to be inspirational (Psalm 19). Versluis is a member of Christians in the Visual Arts (CIVA).
