With Dordt since 2001, David Versluis taught design and art courses and directed the Campus Center Art Gallery. He retired in 2019 and moved to Michigan but continued to serve as curator of the Dordt University Permanent Art Collection until 2020. Versluis's significant contributions in displaying visual art on Dordt's campus were recognized when he received the faculty/administration 2019 Noteworthy Scholarship award.
Versluis is actively producing drawings, prints, & sculpture. He participates in curated exhibitions, both nationally and regionally; one of his works was recently included in the curated exhibition, Threads of Truth at the Zhou B Art Center, Chicago, January and February 2020. Nature/creation continue to be inspirational (Psalm 19).
Versluis is a member of Christians in the Visual Arts (CIVA).
